Monica Gary --- Purdue University
Coach Gary was in the Cleveland
area coaching for 31 years with 8 state team championships in Ohio and is now
entering her 6th year at Purdue specializing in the sprints and
hurdles. She was head women’s coach of
the U.S. World Junior team in 2002 and the head women’s coach for the U.S.
Pan-American team in 2003. Please come
hear her!!!
Rita Somerlot
2000 USA Olympic Coach – Jumps-Hepthalon
Rita was also the head manager for the 2004 USA World
Junior Championship team and the women’s 2005 World Championship team – Helsinki. Criss and Rita
started the “Gathering of Champions clinic” in 1986 in Ohio.
Rita is the first high school coach to become an Olympic coach.

spring and leads the USATF Junior Elite Men’s training camps each summer in California.

Coach Lakes has been at Marion for a long time – as head cross
country for boys and girls and head boys T&F coach. His teams are always solid and the T&F
team core always seems to be his long sprinters and middle-distance runners.
