Track and
Field All-Stars are the top seniors in their event who compete in the Midwest
Meet of Champions in June each year. The
top seniors based on results from previous years are contacted early in the
season. The staff continues to evaluate
all seniors during the season. When the
state tournament starts the coaching staff will begin to ask for commitments
from some of the top athletes. The final
roster is determined after the State Track Meet. The All-Stars should arrive at the Midwest
Meet of Champions site on Friday. On
Friday they practice with the other Indiana All-Stars and attend a banquet that
evening. The athletes stay in a dorm
over night and compete the next day.
Indiana All-Stars receive a shirt and uniform to keep. There is also a team picture taken on
Saturday that the athletes may purchase.
They may also purchase an all-star ring.
Being an Indiana All-Star is an honor and should be a goal of all
Indiana Track & Field athletes.
If you
would like to become an Indiana All-Star please contact a member of the
coaching staff.
Please
provide them with this information.
