1955:               January - Revised constitution for IATCCC

1961:               September - Revised constitution for IATCCC

1964:               October - Revised constitution for IATCCC

1970:               February - Revised constitution for IATCCC

                        22nd annual Hoosier Relays – Sam Kelley meet director

1971:               Indiana High School Coaches Association, Inc – constitution proposed

                        IATCCC revised constitution – 9/71--- Changed name to IATCCC in revised constitution

                        Marshall Goss becomes meet director of Hoosier Relays

1973:               Boys discus - new event

1979:               XC series changed to a 4 week series for boys (sectional, regional, semi-state, state); girls go

3 weeks --- start @ regional week for boys

1980:               State T&F series run at metric distances

                        1st year for boys running 300 meter low hurdles --- previously 180 yard low hurdles????

1982:               1st women inducted into IATCCC Hall of Fame

1983:               First year for state meet @ IUPUI --- moved from North Central --- also moved to a

2-day format with men’s & women’s combined meet

1988:               State meet went back to men one day & women the next --- flip flop days each year

                        488 IATCCC members

1989:               Hoosier Trackman ---- title changed to Hoosier Harrier

                        1st practice date for T&F season changed to mid- February – 2 weeks later

                        Bruce McGeath stepped down as chair of Hall of Fame committee

1990:               Hoosier Harrier printed by Oak Hill H.S.

                        Carol Tumey in charge of Hall of Fame committee

1991:               IATCCC filed for tax exempt status – Ted Fisher --- Sectional council meetings held @ Lawrence

Central --- changes to constitution voted on @ clinic

1992:               realignment of track sectionals; no time standard for athletes to enter events @

sectional – 3200 will still have a time standard; 9 places scored @ state meet    

1993:               Dennis McNulty --- 1st volume of “Indiana’s Best”

                        Current Hall of Fame induction procedure adopted

                        1st XC clinic held --- August --- Chuck Koeppen, director

1995:               1st year for 5 teams & 15 individuals advancing from each level of IHSAA XC tournament

(proposed by Michael Chastain in Sectional Council meeting & put forward in the bi-annual individual sport proposal process and then acted upon by IHSAA Executive Council)

1996:               1st year for 4 x 800 relay in order of events & state series

State XC meet @ Conner Prairie

1997:               Snow/ice storm – poor turnout @ T&F clinic

1st year for Ohio to host the Mid-West T&F meet -- @ Ohio Wesleyan

1998:               1st year for state XC meet @ Bloomington --- IU XC course

2000:               1st year for boys running 300 meter Intermediate (36”) hurdles --- previous 300 meter lows

                        1st year for girls running 100 meter hurdles at 33” --- previously 30”

2001:               1st post-season XC clinic (2 days) --- held @ Sheraton-Keystone 2nd & 3rd of November;

All-state selections made @ fall XC clinic

2002:               Jason Draper, Treasurer, filed incorporation papers for the IATCCC; tax exempt certificate applied for & received; by-laws

revised – taken from old IATCCC constitution

2003:               Girls vault “experiment” --- girls could vault @ Regional level & advance to State meet – medals, but not count in

team scoring

Portage – Mark Harsha print Hoosier Harrier

2004:               Girls vault “experiment” continued for a 2nd year; IATCCC by-laws updated/corrected

                        State T&F meet moved to Bloomington (IU)

State XC meet moved to Terre Haute (ISU) – LaVern Gibson Championship course

2005:               Girls vault as a regular season/tournament event; new by-laws voted on @ clinic

                        December:  revised amendments to by-laws approved @ December Council meeting

2006:               IATCCC By-Laws revised and approved at Sectional Council meeting – Feb. 3, 2006 @ annual T&F clinic

                        1st year for Michigan to host Mid-West T&F meet @ Spring Arbor/Jackson

2007:               1st year for girls to run 5K in cross country, Cross Country Sectionals re-aligned like Track

6 teams advance out of each cross country semi-state – previously 5

2008:               Snow Friday morning of clinic – attendance slightly affected

                        Cross Country Clinic moved to Noblesville HS – Eric Kellison, Kent Graham directors

2009:               Boys race first in cross state tournament; will alternate with girls each year

2010:               Midwest Meet returns to Indiana for 4 years @ FW Northrop/IPFW
