Information for Finals

 

  • Lambert Field House is on Purdue University’s campus just south of Mackey Arena and the Purdue football stadium.
  • 4A, 5A HSR starts at 9:00 a.m.

Doors open @ 7:00

Please enter the west doors of Lambert Field House

  • 1A, 2A, 3A HSR starts at 2:00 p.m.

Please respect the earlier meet that will be competing when you arrive.

  • The meet will be run by IHSAA rules

All athletes must compete in school uniforms.

Remind your athletes of the no jewelry rule.

  • In the running events the girls compete first followed by the boys in each event.
  • In the field the girls will compete first in the vault and shot.
    The boys will compete first in the long jump and high jump.
  • Due to the large field this year, in the long and shot only jumps or throws that surpass the meet standards will be measured.
  • In the vault and high jump, the starting height will be the standard.
  • This is a championship meet and we are looking for 8 place winners.

  • Team camp areas are in the stands, and upper gym.  No food, drink, or spikes are allowed in the upper gym.  The upper gym can be used for warm-up with non-spike shoes.  The upper gym is a hardwood floor.
  • Ό” pyramid spikes only.
  • Attention: all DMR coaches.  You are required to be at the finish line to take splits and assist your runners to get into the exchange zone at the correct time.  You will be provided a split sheet that will be turned at the conclusion of the race.
  • Top 8 place winners will receive medals.  There will be a presentation of medals at the awards stand between the high jump and shot area.  Please have your athletes participate in the presentation.  Coaches and parents are encouraged to take pictures at the presentation.
  • This year’s Hoosier State Relays will be team scored.  The scoring is:
    • Individuals 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
    • Relays 20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2
  • Top 2 teams in both class boys and girls will receive a Hoosier State Relays plaque that will be presented at the end of each meet.  Watch the scoreboards for updated team totals.
  • After the meet starts, coaches are required to stay on the outside of the oval track.
  • Spectators $5

  • Directions to Lambert Field House:

From Indianapolis
Take I-65 North to State Road 25 (exit 175).
Take a left on State Road 25, towards Lafayette, for approx. 1 mile.
Turn right on U.S. 52. Stay on U.S. 52 for approx. 2 miles to Yeager Road (fourth stoplight).
Turn left on Yeager Road.
Turn left on Northwestern Ave. (first stoplight).
For Lambert Fieldhouse and Mollenkopf Athletic Center: Follow Northwestern Ave. for approximately 0.5 mile.

From Chicago
Take I-65 South to S.R. 43 (exit 178).
Turn right off ramp.
Follow S.R. 43 approximately 7 miles to the fourth stoplight (State Street/S.R. 26 West).
Turn right on S.R. 26 (State Street).
Turn right at second stoplight (Grant Street).
Follow Grant Street to next stoplight.
Turn left on Northwestern Avenue.
For Football Parking: Follow traffic signs for permit parking or non-permit parking.
Lambert Fieldhouse: Follow Northwestern Ave. for approximately 0.5 mile.
