HSR - Finals Info

Information for Finals



  • 1A, 2A, 3A HSR starts at 8:00 am with the 3200 run all other events will begin at 9:00 am

    Doors open at 7:00 am

  • 4A, 5A HSR starts at 2:00 pm with the 3200 run all other events will begin at 3:00 pm

    Please respect the earlier meet that will be competing when you arrive

  • The meet will be run by IHSAA rules

    All athletes must compete in school uniforms.

    Remind your athletes of the jewelry rule

  • In the running events the girls will compete first followed by the boys in each event

  • Completed in the spring of 2007...IWU’s Troyer Fieldhouse is by far one of the most functional indoor track facilities in Indiana. The interior floor is 100% 14mm Mondo Super-X with an asphalt base with a full 200-meter (42 inch. lanes) 8 lane oval track. The radius of the curves is the largest possible to accommodate distances runners as well as sprinters. All of the runways for the PV and LJ are also off of a Mondo surface as well as the approach apron for the HJ. The throws take place off 2 wooden throwing platforms. We will be using UCS Laser Measuring Devices for the Long Jump and Shot Put.

  • In the field the girls will compete first in the High Jump.

    The boys will compete first in the pole vault.

    Boys and girls long jump and boys and girls shot put will go at the same time.

    There are 2 pits and 2 rings.

  • In the long jump and shot put only jumps or throws that surpass the meet standards will be measured.

    In the vault and high jump, the starting height will be the standard.

    Field Event Standards, Starting Heights, and Increments

    This is a championship meet and we are looking for 8 place winners

  • 1/4" pyramid spikes only

  • Attention: all DMR coaches. You are required to be at the finish line to take splits and assist your runners to get into the exchange zone at the correct time. You will be provided a split sheet that will be turned in at the conclusion of the race.

  • Top 8 place winners will receive medals. There will be a presentation of medals at the awards stand inside the last turn.

    Please have your athletes participate in the presentation. Coaches and parents are encouraged to take pictures from the bleachers at the presentaion.

  • This year's Hoosier State Relays will be team scored. The scoring is:

    Individuals 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

    Relays 20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2

  • Top 2 teams in both classes boys and girls will receive a Hoosier State Relays plaque that will be presented at the end of each meet. Watch the scoreboards for updated team totals.

  • Spectators $5
