We want to
introduce our new Publicity Director for the Indiana Association of Track and
Cross Country Coaches. Mr. Brett Hess has been a sports writer for the
Fort Wayne News-Sentinel and for the last few years has covered his most loved
sports of cross country and track. He was a distance runner in high
school in Fort Wayne in the 80’s, a good runner
at Marion College after that, and still competes
in distance events. We feel very fortunate to have Brett assist our
organization in media coverage for the sports of track & field and cross
country. Brett is the initial person to hold this position and we will be
working through what his job responsibilities will be. He will work
closely with our officers, Sectional Council group, All-star staffs, and
polling administrators. We look for him to do quality liaison work with
the IHSAA and the many media outlets in our state. The major task is to
improve the media exposure in Indiana
for individuals & teams in our sports of cross country and track.
There are a
few things that we need from our association membership -- if you would send an
