Questions asked about General Liability Insurance Coverage

Q.  Under the general liability section, does this mean that if one of
my team members is hit by a car on a training run under my jurisdiction
that this policy would assist, along with the school's liability policy,
to cover the situation?  I know camps are specifically mentioned, but
school related scenarios are not.

A. The General Liability policy is for your protection only in case a
claim is made against you.  In the scenario you presented, if you were sued by
parent of injured athlete that was under your direct supervision then legal
defense would be in place to defend you as coach.  The GL policy only
provides protection for you.

Q.  To be covered for a camp, do I need to contact you first, or is this
automatic?

A. The GL policy follows you throughout the policy year. The camps or
clinics that you conduct as part of the school or on your own during the
spring or summer when school is out of session will remain in place
until 8/1/2008 when the policy term ends. Your coverage is automatic and if an
entity requests proof of coverage you may request a certificate of
insurance that details such coverage.
