Dave Wollman – S.M.U.

Dave competed @ Wawasee H.S. and will be inducted into our IATCCC Hall of Fame on Friday evening.  He is recognized as one of the premier throwing coaches in the world.  He won the the Div. II shot title while @ Indiana Central.  He has coached @ Concord H.S., Purdue, Stanford and is now the Head T&F coach @ Southern Methodist University.  You won’t want to miss this!!!!

 

Mike Boyle

Mike is director of Performance for Athletes’ Performance in Los Angeles.  He has authored numerous books and videos on training.  He served as strength & conditioning coach @ Boston University for 15 years.  He was S/C coach of the Boston Bruins for 9 years and was the S/C coach of the 1998 women’s USA hockey gold-medal team.  Everyone should hear his two presentations.

 

Criss Somerlot

2004 USA Olympic Coach – Men’s throws
Criss is a retired high school teacher & coach in Ohio.  He is the USATF throws development chair.  He has done about everything in track & field from coaching, officiating and meet director.  Criss was also the 1999 USA World Championship throws coach.  He is the first high school coach to become a male Olympic coach.

 

Rita Somerlot

2000 USA Olympic Coach – Jumps-Hepthalon

Rita was the head manager for the 2004 USA World Junior Championship team and is the women’s 2005 World Championship team – Helsinki.  Criss and Rita started the “Gathering of Champions clinic” in 1986 in Ohio.  Rita is the first high school coach to become an Olympic coach.

 

Bob Schul

1964 Olympic Champion – 5,000 meters – Tokyo

Bob is currently the head cross country coach @ Wright State University.  Bob has begun the Bob Schul Racing Team with efforts toward regaining our position in the distance performances in world competition.  He worked hard in training as an athlete and works hard to coach athletes to the elite level.

 

Dr. Steve Simons

2004 Olympic T&F Team Doctor

Steve has his practice in South Bend and has worked with athletes for many years.  He not only treats athletes for injuries, but works hard to make sure that they have proper therapy and training to remain injury free.  He is active in North Central Indiana in helping coaches and athletes with proper training and equipment for success.

 

Bob Milton – Norwell Middle School

Bob has coached high school and middle school.  He is energetic and organized and his teams show it.  He has many ideas on how to improve programs.

 

Mark BeMiller – Northwood H.S.

Wow!  What a job he has done @ Northwood!  If you were watching the finals of the 4 x 100 relay @ last year’s state meet, then you witnessed a team that was talented, but very well drilled and coached.  Mark believes in the team concept and trains all his athle

Darrell Barnes, LAT, ATC, CSCS

Darrell is Ralph Reiff’s assistant @ St. Vincent Sport Medicine.  Darrell works with many athletes regarding core work, athlete injury prevention and care.

 

Peter Juszczyk

1999 NCAA javelin competitor and school record holder at Southern Illinois.  Coached at Southern Illinois – Edwardsville the past 2 years – 32 school records broken during that time.  He is USATF Level 1 & 2 certified and is working for Level 3.
